Electronic vault – meeting the requirements of the Regulatory Authority To enable the future Authority for online gambling to monitor and oversee online gambling operations, their specifications will require that operators implement a technical device that ensures archiving of gaming data such that the completeness, integrity and confidentiality of these data are guaranteed. The ‘vault’ is designed to ensure all the operations taking place between the licensee, the gaming operator and its customers are stored on a server which is then encrypted and which cannot be accessed by anyone other than the ARJEL. The Regulatory Authority will have access to the vault so it can check all the operations that take place on the server. Advertising and Media As the French online gaming market opens and regulatory structure is imposed, actual market participation for both local and international operators will involve considerable planning. Brand development together with market recognition and acceptance are going to be paramount (particularly in a market where 25,000 illegal sites are already said to be operating). This session will look at routes to rapid market entry through mergers and acquisition activity. The Follow up Committee of the Law will provide a 12 month review outlining what they feel should be adjustment to the new implemented rules.
